Update the Titles, Chapters, and Subtitles Across Your Whole Channel

確認済み 2026-10-18

If you publish videos on YouTube, your muse can work through your channel with editor access and update titles, descriptions, chapters, subtitles, and playlists in batches, instead of you opening every video one by one.

What it does

Most channels carry years of small neglect: titles written in a hurry, descriptions with old links, videos with no chapters, subtitles nobody checked, and playlists that stopped matching what the channel is about. The muse can go through the catalog the way a careful assistant would. It reads each video, drafts clearer titles and descriptions in your style, adds chapters based on what is actually in the video, tidies subtitles, and sorts videos into the right playlists. You set the rules once, such as the words you always use, the links every description needs, and the titles that must never change. Then it applies those rules across a batch while you do other work, and reports what it changed.

How to use it

  1. Give the muse editor access to your channel. Use the channel's own editor permission, ideally through a separate account you control, never your main account password.
  2. Start small: pick five older videos and ask for new titles, descriptions, and chapters on just those.
  3. Read that first batch closely and fix the rules, not just the videos: "Shorter titles, keep the series name first, always add the booking link."
  4. Approve a bigger batch once the small one looks right, and let it run in the background.
  5. Spot-check a few changed videos on the public pages before the next batch goes out.

What you need

  • A YouTube channel with videos that need tidying
  • Editor access granted through YouTube's own permission settings
  • A short written style guide: your title habits, standard links, and anything that is off limits

What to watch for

Batch editing spreads mistakes just as fast as it spreads fixes. A bad title pattern approved once can land on dozens of videos, which is why the small test batch matters. Check chapters and subtitles on a sample by watching, not just reading: a chapter stamp can be a few seconds off and a subtitle can mishear a name in a way that reads fine and sounds wrong. Keep a simple list of which videos were changed and when, so you can undo a batch that underperforms. The muse does the repetitive work, you stay the editor-in-chief.
