Turn Your Saved Music Reels Into a Playlist
A muse can go through the music recommendations buried in your saved Reels, pull out the songs, and build them into a playlist in your music account, so recommendations you saved months ago finally get heard.
What it does
A lot of good music arrives as a saved Reel: a friend shares a track, a short clip names a song worth hearing, and you save it with every intention of listening later. Later rarely comes, because the songs are scattered across hundreds of saves mixed in with everything else. A muse connected to your saves can pull just the music out. It can go through hundreds of saved Reels that hold music recommendations and build a playlist from them, moving those recommendations into normal listening rotation. It lists each song it finds, with the Reel it came from, so you can remove a track that was saved as a joke or for a video project before the playlist is made. The result is a single playlist built from your own taste in saves, ready for the car or home.
How to use it
- Connect your Instagram account so the muse can read your saved Reels, and connect your music account so it can build the playlist there.
- Say: "Go through my saved Reels, find the ones that recommend music, and list the songs before you build anything."
- Clean the list. Remove songs you saved for other reasons, and keep the ones you actually want to hear.
- Say: "Build a playlist from the songs I approved, in my music account, and call it Saved Reels."
- Play it once through. Remove the tracks that do not fit, and ask the muse to add new music saves to the same playlist each month.
What you need
- A muse account with Instagram connected
- A music account connected, such as Spotify
- Saved Reels that include music recommendations
What to watch for
- Not every song in a saved Reel is a recommendation. Some are background music, and some were saved for the video, not the track. The review list is where you catch those.
- A song named in a clip can be hard to match exactly, with covers and live versions sharing a title. Check any track that looks like the wrong version.
- A large backlog makes a long playlist. If you have saved for years, ask for the most recent year first and add older finds in a second pass.
- The muse builds the playlist, you decide which songs earn a place in it.
