Turn Your Netflix Viewing History Into a Poster Page
Your streaming service keeps a record of everything you have watched, and a muse can turn that record into a web page about your own viewing: years of shows and films laid out with their posters, patterns, and totals.
What it does
Netflix lets you download your full viewing history as a simple spreadsheet file. Hand that file to a muse and it reads every row, works out what you watched and when, and builds a web page from it. The page can show your viewing by year, the shows you finished and the ones you dropped, your busiest periods, and a wall of posters for the titles in your history. Even a decade of viewing history can become a finished poster page in minutes. It is a small piece of personal history most people never look at, made into something you can actually browse and share.
How to use it
- Sign in to Netflix on a computer, open your account settings, and download your viewing history as a CSV file.
- Send the file to the muse and say what you want: "Analyze this viewing history and build a web page with posters. Show totals by year, my most watched shows, and anything surprising."
- Wait a few minutes while it builds the page, then open the link it gives you.
- Check a handful of titles and dates against what you remember. Ask for fixes in plain words: "Group the rewatches together" or "Add a section for films only."
- Decide who sees it. A shared page link can be opened by anyone who has it, so share it the way you would share a photo album link.
What you need
- A Netflix account with viewing history on it
- A computer to download the CSV file from your account settings
- A muse account
What to watch for
- The gaps are usually in the record, not the reading. Streaming histories have blank spots, missing titles, and odd dates, especially for very old viewing. If a section looks thin, check the raw file before blaming the page.
- Profiles matter. If several people watch on one account, download the history for your own profile only, or the page will mix everyone's taste together.
- The file is a list of your habits. Only download it from your own account, and only send it to a muse you trust with personal records.
