Turn Your Drive Files Into a Private Library

確認済み 2026-10-11

A muse can take the e-books and articles scattered through your cloud drive and build them into a private library app, sorted by topic into shelves, where every book opens and reads like a real book.

What it does

Most people have a drive folder full of good intentions: saved e-books, long articles, and PDFs, all in one unsorted pile that never gets read. Connect the drive and the muse reads what is actually in there, works out the topics, and builds a small private library just for you. Each topic becomes a section, each section gets its own shelves broken down further, and every book opens inside the app in a readable form instead of a raw file download. In one verified build, a full collection of drive files became an organized library this way, with every item shelved by subject and readable in place. It is the difference between owning the files and having a library you might actually browse.

How to use it

  1. Point the muse at the folder: "Build me a private library from the e-books and articles in this drive folder."
  2. Name the topics you care about if you have them, or let the muse sort first and show you the sections it found.
  3. Open the result and browse it like a skeptic. Check that books landed on the right shelves and that each one opens and reads cleanly.
  4. Ask for fixes in plain words: "Move the history books out of science, and make a shelf for the long articles I have not read yet."
  5. Add new files to the same folder as you save them, and tell the muse "shelve the new ones" whenever the pile grows.

What you need

  • A cloud drive folder with your e-books and articles in it
  • A muse with app-building access

What to watch for

The sorting is only as good as the files. A book with a vague file name and no clear opening pages can land on the wrong shelf, so spot check the sections before you trust them. Scanned PDFs sometimes read poorly, with broken lines or missing pages, and no library layout fixes a bad scan. Keep your original files where they are; the library is a reading layer on top of them, not a replacement, and deleting the source files would empty the shelves. The library is private to you, which also means it lives and dies with your access, so an exported backup of the file list is worth having.
