Tell It Your Ideas Out Loud While You Walk

Verified 2026-10-06

You do not have to type to use a muse. Open the app on your phone and talk to it like you would talk to a person. It remembers what you said and can start working on it while you keep moving.

What it does

The muse works from your phone the same way it works from a computer, and it can keep going on a task after you close the app. So a thought that hits you on a walk does not have to wait until you are back at a desk. Say it out loud: "Remind me tomorrow to call the plumber." "Look into why my grocery bill went up." "I thought of a name for the business, write it down." It captures the thought and starts on the work.

This matters because the best assistant is useless if you can only reach it when you are sitting down. Dictation makes it something you carry, not something you open.

How to use it

  1. Open the muse app on your phone. Allow microphone access if it asks.
  2. Just talk. One idea or task per message, the way you would tell a friend: "I need to move my dentist appointment to Thursday afternoon."
  3. Let it work. It can research, draft, schedule, and remind while you walk, drive, or cook.
  4. Check back later for results. Anything it wants your approval on waits for you.

What you need

  • The muse app on your phone (iPhone or Android)
  • Microphone permission if you want to dictate

What to watch for

Speak in a reasonably quiet spot, since background noise can mangle names and numbers. Double check addresses, phone numbers, and amounts in anything it sends back. It is normal if it feels odd to have a device remember things you tell it. You stay in charge: review what it remembers, edit it, or wipe it any time. Start with small tasks and let the trust build from evidence.
