Sync the School Calendars to Yours
Every school has its own calendar and none of them talk to yours. Concerts, early dismissals, and parent nights hide in portals and PDFs until the night before. A muse can pull every school event onto your own calendar so the family schedule finally lives in one place.
What it does
Point your muse at your kids' school calendars and it reads the events, concerts, holidays, early dismissals, and parent nights, then puts the matching entries on your calendar. The sync keeps running, so when the school posts a new date, it shows up on your calendar without you lifting a finger.
How to use it
- Tell your muse which schools your kids attend and where the calendars live: the school website, the district portal, or the PDF the office sends each term.
- Let it read those calendars and copy the events onto yours.
- Review the first batch of entries to make sure nothing is duplicated or misdated.
- Ask it to keep the sync running: "Keep my calendar matched to the school calendars through the school year."
What you need
- Access to each school's calendar: a public web page, a portal login, or the calendar file the school distributes.
What to watch for
Schools post changes and the muse copies what it reads, so double check dates for anything that matters, like recital night or a field trip deadline. If a school changes its calendar format mid-year, the sync may need a nudge to reconnect. In split households, decide which calendar gets the events, or ask the muse to put them on both.
