Stock the Birthday Party With One Store Run

A birthday is coming up and the party supplies are nobody's job. A muse can take the list: balloons, a helium tank, paper plates, candles, and buy the lot at one store for pickup. In a verified case, the supplies were ordered and waiting at the store counter while the parent kept working.

What it does

You describe the party: how many kids, the theme if there is one, what you already own. The muse builds a supply list, shops one store's site for everything on it, and places a pickup order. You swing by the counter on your way home. It handles the boring part (comparing pack sizes, checking stock at your store) and leaves the fun part (the cake, the guest list) to you.

How to use it

1. Tell the muse the occasion: whose birthday, how many guests, and the date.
2. List what you already have and what you need, or ask it to suggest a standard list for a kids' party.
3. Give it your preferred store and your pickup time. It checks that everything is in stock at that location.
4. Review the cart. Approve quantities, sizes, and the total before it orders.
5. Pick up the order and keep the receipt. If a bag is missing an item, you have the order details on your phone.

What you need

• A store account with pickup available near you.
• A guest count and a party date.
• A payment method connected to the muse, or the willingness to enter card details when it reaches checkout.

What to watch for

• Helium tanks and balloon quantities confuse everyone. Tell the muse the number of balloons you actually want, not the tank size.
• Check the pickup window. Most stores hold orders for a few days, not a few weeks.
• The muse asks before it pays. Nothing orders until you approve the cart and the total.
• Themes sell out. If the store is out of the dinosaur plates, tell the muse whether to substitute or skip rather than waiting on a restock.
