Set a Follow-Up Reminder From a Screenshot

Verified 2026-10-19

A muse can read a screenshot of a comment or message, set a reminder to follow up on it a few hours later, and check first whether you already replied, so it only nudges you when there is still something to do.

What it does

A lot of follow-ups start as a screenshot. Someone comments, you grab a picture of it because you cannot answer right now, and the picture sits in your photos while the moment passes. A muse can take that screenshot off your hands. Send it the picture and it reads what the comment says and who it is from, sets a reminder for the time you name, and when that time comes, it checks the conversation first. If you already answered, it can show you your reply and drop the matter. If the comment is still waiting, you get the nudge with the comment attached, so you do not have to go digging for context. It is normal if a reminder that checks first sounds strange. The muse prepares, you decide, and you can review or turn off this kind of checking at any time.

How to use it

  1. Screenshot the comment or message you need to come back to.
  2. Send the screenshot to your muse and say: "Remind me about this in three hours if I have not replied yet."
  3. Confirm what it read back to you: the person, the point of the comment, and the reminder time.
  4. When the reminder fires, read the update. If it says you already replied, do nothing. If the comment is still open, answer it or set a new time.
  5. For comments that matter more, say so: "For anything from this person, remind me the same day, even if I replied, and show me what I said."

What you need

  • A muse account
  • The screenshot, sent in the chat
  • The account or app connected, if you want the muse to check whether you replied

What to watch for

  • Read the summary the muse makes from the screenshot before you trust it. Screenshots can cut off the top or bottom of a thread, and a cropped picture can change the meaning.
  • If the muse cannot see the conversation itself, it cannot check whether you replied, and the reminder becomes a plain timer; that is fine, just know which kind you set.
  • Do not send screenshots that carry other people's private details you would not want stored, and delete screenshots from the chat when the follow-up is done if you prefer a clean record.
