Send Photos, Links, and Files to Your Muse From the Share Button
On an iPhone, you can send a photo, a web link, or a file straight into your muse chat from the Share button inside the app you are already using, with no saving, switching apps, or attaching by hand.
What it does
The muse shows up as a choice in the iPhone Share sheet, the same list that offers Messages, Mail, and AirDrop. In Photos, Safari, Files, and most other apps, you tap Share, choose the muse, and what you picked lands in your chat, ready to work with. From there you can ask in plain words: sum up this article, read this document and pull out the dates, tell me what is in this picture, or save this and remind me about it later. It turns the thing you just found into the start of a job, instead of one more tab or screenshot you meant to get back to.
How to use it
- Find the photo, page, or file you want your muse to work with.
- Tap the Share button in that app.
- Choose the muse from the list of choices. If it is not there, update the muse app and look again.
- When it lands in your chat, say what you want done with it, in one plain sentence.
- Read what comes back before you act on it, the same as with anything you attach by hand.
What you need
- An iPhone with the muse app installed and signed in
- The app you are sharing from, such as Photos, Safari, or Files
- Nothing else to connect, since the item goes straight into your chat
What to watch for
- This is an iPhone feature. On other phones and on a computer, attach the photo, link, or file inside the chat the regular way.
- Sharing sends a copy into your chat, so think before you share anything private, such as a photo of a document with account numbers on it. If you would not type it into the chat, do not share it into the chat.
- A shared link is only as good as the page behind it. If the page needs a sign-in your muse does not have, it may only see part of it, so check the summary against the original when it matters.
- The muse prepares the summary or the draft, you decide what to do with it.
