See the Reaction Breakdown on a Facebook Post

Verified 2026-11-01

Your muse can look up any Facebook post it can reach and tell you how many reactions it has in total, and how that total splits by kind, such as Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, and Angry.

What it does

A reaction count on its own hides the feeling behind it. Ten reactions could be ten Likes, or a mix of Love and Angry that means something very different. Connect Facebook and your muse can read the breakdown for a single post: the total count, plus a count for each reaction kind, with a link back to the post. You can ask in plain words, too. If you ask how many people found a post funny, your muse counts the Haha reactions. If you ask how a post landed, it can read the breakdowns for several posts and set them side by side, each with its own link, so you can compare a warm response with a divided one without opening every post yourself.

How to use it

  1. Connect your Facebook account in the muse app and review the access it asks for.
  2. Point your muse at a post from your feed, a timeline, or a group: "How did that post do?"
  3. Ask for the split in plain words: "How many Love reactions, and how many Angry ones?"
  4. Compare when it helps: "Show me the reaction breakdown for my last three posts, with links."
  5. Name a date range when you pick older posts, so the dates behind the picks are clear.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A Facebook account connected to your muse
  • A post your account can see, found through your feed, a timeline, or a group you belong to

What to watch for

  • The breakdown gives counts by kind only. It does not list who reacted, so it cannot answer who loved a post or who was angry about it.
  • Counts are the totals as they stand right now. They cannot be filtered to a past day or week, so a breakdown for an older post still shows today's total, not the total it had back then.
  • A small total can swing fast. One or two new reactions can change the shape of a quiet post, so read small numbers as a snapshot, not a verdict.
  • Your muse reads and reports the numbers. What they mean for your Page, your group, or your next post stays your call.
