Search and Book Flights in the App Through Duffel
You can search and book flights inside the muse phone app through Duffel, which reads live prices from over 500 airlines, with every purchase waiting for your approval.
What it does
Duffel is a phone-only connection, used in the phone app, not the web. Ask for a route and it searches round-trip, one-way, and multi-city trips in any cabin, plus nearby airports and flexible dates. Ask for the full picture and it shows the cheapest, fastest, and best balance of the two, with fare terms for each: refund and change rules, and whether bags and seat selection are included. Two flights at the same price can differ a lot once terms are added. When you pick one, the muse checks the fare again, shows the exact trip, names, and total, and waits. After booking, ask it to check the trip, price a cancellation, or cancel it. It can also show split tickets, where two one-way tickets cost less than a round trip.
How to use it
- Open the muse app and set approvals so every purchase waits for your tap.
- Search with exact airport codes, dates, cabin, and travelers. A city code searches every airport in the city; an airport code searches only that one.
- Name every traveler type: adults, children with ages, and babies under two, and say whether each baby sits on a lap or in a seat.
- Ask for the cheapest, fastest, and best balance, with fare terms.
- Before you approve, read every traveler name letter-by-letter against the passport or ID, and read the total, not just the first price.
- Save the booking reference and confirmation right away.
What you need
- A muse account, with access in the US, Canada, Japan, or Singapore
- The muse phone app
- A payment method set up through Stripe Link
- Exact traveler names as they appear on passports or ID, and dates of birth where asked
What to watch for
- Hotels do not run through this connection, only flights. Treat the two halves of a trip as separate jobs.
- A baby under two who needs their own seat cannot be booked this way. Book that seat with the airline.
- A split ticket is two separate tickets. A delay on the first is not protected by the second.
- It does not report live flight status. Check the airline on the day.
- A wrong name costs nothing to fix before you approve and can cost a fee or the whole fare after. That check is yours.
