Read Your Microsoft Inbox Through Outlook Mail

You can connect Outlook Mail to your muse so it can read your Microsoft inbox, sort what needs a reply today, and draft answers in your voice, while every send waits for your approval.

What it does

If your work arrives in Outlook or Microsoft 365 instead of Gmail, this is the mail connection to use. Connected, the muse reads the mailbox in the Microsoft account you sign in with and groups your unread mail into what needs a reply today, what is for information only, and what is newsletters and offers. It can find the threads where someone is waiting on you, search your mail by what a message was about rather than the exact words in it, and draft a reply that sounds like you. It can also list the promises you made in old threads and never closed, such as a report you said you would send, so you can follow up first.

How to use it

1. Open the muse app and go to Settings, then Connectors.
2. Select Connect next to Outlook Mail, sign in with the Microsoft account that holds the mail you work from, and read the permission screen before you approve it. A work account may need your IT admin to allow the connection first.
3. Set approvals so no email is ever sent without your tap.
4. Test with a read: ask the muse to summarize your unread mail from today, grouped by what needs a reply. Check the summary against your inbox.
5. Ask it to draft replies to the messages that need one, read each draft, edit it, and send it yourself.

• Approvals set so every send waits for you

What to watch for

• The muse sees only the mailbox you connected. Mail in Gmail or in a second Outlook account stays invisible to it, so name the inbox you mean when you ask.
• A summary can miss a thread and a draft can misread a tone. Check anything that touches money, a deadline, or an unhappy client against the original message before you act on it.
• Connecting both Outlook Mail and Gmail does not merge them into one inbox. Each connection reads only its own mail.
• Read every draft before you approve it. A draft you did not read is a message you did not write. The muse prepares, you decide.
