Read and Reply to Your Threads Messages Through Your Muse

Verified 2026-10-31

Your muse can read your Threads direct messages, including the message requests the main inbox hides, and send replies you write and approve, one message at a time.

What it does

Threads direct messages are separate from its posts and feed, and this connection is separate too: posts can be connected while messages are not. Once messages are connected, your muse can list your conversations with a short preview each, open one and read it with you, and check the pending folder, where requests from people you may not know sit out of sight. Ask it to sum up what is waiting, find the conversation where an address or a plan was shared, or draft replies in your words. It can also share a published Threads post into a conversation, with a note from you attached. Every send waits for your approval on a card that shows the message, and nothing is ever sent on a schedule or on its own.

How to use it

  1. Connect Threads Messages using the connect link your muse gives you. It is its own connection, even if Threads posts are already connected.
  2. Ask for a plain summary first: "List my recent conversations and what each person is waiting on."
  3. Ask it to check the pending folder separately. Requests never appear in the main list.
  4. When you want to reply, give the exact conversation and the exact words. Check the name on the approval card before you approve it, and decline if it shows the wrong person.
  5. For someone new, your muse cannot send to a handle alone. It needs an existing conversation or a verified account match, and offers a draft instead when it cannot verify the person.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A Threads account that people message you on
  • The separate Threads Messages connection turned on

What to watch for

  • A send cannot be undone, and there is no automatic sending, ever. No auto replies can be set up through this connection.
  • If a send is interrupted or the result is unclear, your muse reads the conversation back before saying anything about it. It never just sends again, because the first message may already be there.
  • Keep requests narrow. Your muse answers specific questions from your messages, but it will not copy out your whole message history, and vanishing messages stay vanishing.
  • Message times your muse reports are when a message was delivered, not when the event in the message happens. Check dates inside the message itself.
