Read and Reply to the Comments on a Facebook Post

Your muse can pull a Facebook post's comments into one list, up to 20 at a time with a link to each one, and then post a comment, or reply to one comment, using the exact words you approve first.

What it does

Reading comments inside Facebook means opening the post and scrolling. Through your muse, the comments on a post from your feed, a timeline, or a group come back as one list. Each comment shows its text, its time, how many replies it has, and a direct link, plus the writer's name when Facebook returns one. Ask for several posts and the lists stay grouped by post. If a post has more than 20 comments, the muse pages through the rest and tells you when a list is partial. When you want to join in, the muse can add a comment to the post or reply to one specific comment, attached to the comment you picked. Nothing is written until an approval card shows the post link and your exact text. Each comment gets its own approval, and success returns a receipt link you can open.

How to use it

1. Connect Facebook to your muse.
2. Name the post, paste its link, or pick it from your feed, a timeline, or a group.
3. Ask for the comments, and say whether to keep going past the first 20.
4. Read the list, and open any comment link you want to check in place.
5. To reply, point at the comment and give the muse your exact words.
6. Check the approval card, post link and text together, then approve.
7. Open the receipt link to confirm the comment is there.

• Your exact reply text when you want to write one

What to watch for

• Two comments under the same name may come from different people. The muse treats comments as coming from the same person only when account IDs match, and says so when an author is missing.
• If Facebook rejects a comment, nothing was posted, and the muse tells you why with your text unchanged.
• If a result comes back unclear, the muse reads the comments to check rather than posting again, since a second try could double your words.
• Editing and deleting comments are not available through the muse, so write the reply the way you want it to stay.
