Mine Customers' Own Words From Groups and Turn Them Into Hooks

Verified 2026-11-01

Your muse can search groups and forums where your customers talk, collect the exact words they use for a problem your product solves, and turn the strongest lines into hooks you can use in ads and on your pages.

What it does

People rarely describe a problem in the words a seller would use. They say it their own way, in posts and comments, often without ever naming the product category. A muse can search Instagram and Facebook groups for posts that describe the problem, even when the wording is different from yours, and collect the lines word for word. From those quotes it draws a short list of hooks you can adapt. Because the words came from customers first, the hooks sound like a person, not like a sales page. You still choose which lines to use, and you can check every quote against its post before it goes anywhere public.

How to use it

  1. Tell the muse what you sell, who it is for, and the problem it solves, in plain words.
  2. Name the places to search, such as the groups and forums where your buyers actually talk.
  3. Ask for at least 30 exact quotes, kept word for word, with a link to each post, and no tidying up of the wording.
  4. Ask for five hook ideas built only from those quotes, and set the rest aside.
  5. Open a few of the linked posts yourself and confirm the quotes match before you use any of them.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A clear sentence about what you sell and the problem it solves
  • Groups or forums your muse can read, which may mean joining them first
  • Time to check the quotes you plan to use

What to watch for

  • A quote is a person's words. Using one word for word in an ad is different from learning the phrasing. Learn the language freely, and ask permission before you name or feature anyone.
  • Private groups stay private for a reason. Only search groups you belong to, and do not carry private posts into public copy.
  • The muse prepares, you decide. A hook that misstates what your product does is still your problem once it runs, so read each one as a customer would.
