Let the Muse Interview You So It Can Help You Better

Instead of filling in settings or re-explaining yourself in every chat, you can let a muse interview you: one question at a time about your routine, your work, and how you like things done. At the end it shows you a summary, you correct it, and it saves only the parts you approve.

What it does

The interview is a getting-to-know-you session with a practical purpose. The muse asks one question, waits for your full answer, and only then asks the next, so it never feels like a form. It covers what makes daily help work: your routine, your work, your goals, your preferences, how you like answers written, and the topics you care about. You can point it at one area, such as work, if that is where you want help first. When the questions finish, the muse writes a short summary of what it learned and shows it to you. You fix anything wrong or overstated, and only the corrected version is saved. From then on, briefs get shorter, because the basics are already known.

How to use it

1. Say what the interview is for: "Interview me so you can help me better. One question at a time, and wait for my answer before the next one."
2. Name the focus if you have one, such as your work week, your household, or your writing.
3. Answer in your own words. Short answers are fine, and you can say "skip that" to any question without explaining why.
4. Keep passwords, account numbers, and ID numbers out of your answers. A good interview never needs them, and the muse should never ask.
5. Read the closing summary line by line. Correct it, cut anything you do not want kept, and approve only what is left.

What to watch for

• It is normal if being asked questions by a program feels strange at first. You are in charge of the pace, the topics, and what is kept, and you can stop at any time.
• The summary is a draft, not a record. If a line sounds like you on a good day rather than a normal day, fix it. The muse works from the version you approve.
• Anything saved can be reviewed, edited, or wiped later. Approving a line today does not lock it in forever.
• Do not use the interview to store sensitive details. Routines and preferences help. Financial or ID details do not belong in it.
