Keep Team Projects Moving Through Asana

If your team runs its work in Asana, you can connect Asana to your muse and ask what is at risk, start the next step on a project, and update the team, with the results landing as real tasks in Asana.

What it does

Project boards drift when nobody has time to read them. A date slips, a task sits unassigned, and the problem only surfaces at the next meeting. Connected, the muse reads the board with you and answers in plain words. Ask which tasks are overdue, which project is most at risk, and what needs a decision from you. When you agree on the next step, the muse creates or updates the task in Asana, with the owner and due date you set, so the plan lives on the board and not just in your chat. It can also draft a short status update for the team, which you read before it goes out.

How to use it

1. Open your muse settings, find the Asana connector, and connect the Asana workspace your team works in.
2. Start with a read-only question: "Which tasks on the launch project are overdue or unassigned?"
3. Ask what is at risk and why, and check the answer against the board yourself the first time.
4. Pick one next step and say it plainly: "Create a task for the final review, assign it, and set it due Friday."
5. Open Asana and confirm the task landed in the right project, then read any team update in full before you approve it.

What you need

• A muse account in the US or Canada
• An Asana account and workspace, connected through the connector in your muse settings
• Projects and tasks your team already keeps in Asana
• A few minutes to check the first answers against the board

What to watch for

• The muse works from what is on the board. Work that happens in calls, chats, or hallways and never reaches Asana will not appear in its answers, so keep the board current.
• A risk answer reads due dates and task states, not people. If it flags a teammate's work, check the real situation first.
• Assigning the wrong person or date sends real work in the wrong direction. Read each new task before you move on.
• It is normal if an agent reading your team board sounds strange at first. You choose which workspace to connect, you can disconnect it at any time, and updates to the team wait for your approval.
