Get the Pothole on Your Street Fixed

確認済み 2026-10-07

That pothole you swerve around every day has an online form behind it, and your muse can fill it out. Tell it where the pothole is and your county handles the rest: one user had repair requests filed in about 30 seconds, and the street was fixed five days later.

What it does

Almost every county and city takes pothole reports online now, usually through a 311-style service-request page. The form wants the same things every time: the exact location, which road, and a description of the damage. A muse turns your one-sentence complaint into a finished report: it finds the right reporting page for your county, fills in the location and details, and submits it. You never touch the form. In one verified run, the whole thing took about half a minute, and the repairs showed up five days later.

How to use it

  1. Tell the muse about the pothole in plain words: "There is a big pothole on Oak Street just past the elementary school, near the crosswalk."
  2. It finds your county or city's road-repair reporting page. Check that it landed on the right one, since city and county pages look alike.
  3. It fills the form with the location, the street, and a short description. If you have a photo of the pothole, hand it over; a photo helps the crew find it.
  4. It submits the report and saves the confirmation or ticket number where you can find it.
  5. If you have three potholes, name all three. Batching the reports takes no extra effort.

What you need

  • The street name and a landmark or nearest address, or the cross streets
  • A photo of the pothole, optional but useful
  • An email or phone number if the reporting page wants one for the confirmation

What to watch for

  • The muse files the report; it cannot speed up the road crew. Most counties inspect within a few days, but busy seasons and bad weather push timelines out.
  • Location matters most. "Near my house" is not enough; give the nearest intersection or address so the crew goes to the right spot.
  • Make sure it used the right jurisdiction. A pothole on a state highway goes to the state, not the county, and some cities handle their own streets. If it picked the wrong office, the report sits unread.
  • Some cities only let residents file, and some forms ask for an account. A one-time sign-up may be on you.
