Get a Nudge When You Have Been Sitting Too Long
You know the feeling: you look up and it is 2 pm and you have not moved since breakfast. A muse connected to your phone's health apps can notice that and tap you on the shoulder before the whole day slips away.
What it does
Connect your step counter, workout app, or sleep tracker, and the muse watches your activity through the day. If you have barely moved by early afternoon, it sends you a nudge: stand up, take a walk, do the thing you said you would do. It can also track streaks, so you see how many days in a row you hit your step goal, and keep an eye on your sleep pattern over the week.
How to use it
- Connect your iPhone health apps so the muse can see steps, workouts, and sleep.
- Tell it your baseline: "I want to hit 8,000 steps a day."
- Set the nudge time and tone: "If I am under 2,000 steps by 2 pm, bug me about it."
- Read the weekly summary it sends: streaks, average steps, sleep hours.
- Adjust the goals when life changes, like "this week is a travel week, lower the target."
What you need
- A phone with health tracking the muse can read
- Notification permission, so the nudge actually reaches you
What to watch for
- A nudge is a reminder, not a doctor. If something hurts or feels wrong, see a real professional. The muse cannot diagnose anything.
- Health data is private data. Check exactly what the muse can see, and disconnect the health apps any time you want a break from tracking.
- If the nudges annoy you, you will ignore all of them. Keep the tone light and the frequency low enough that one still lands.
