Find the Finished Videos You Never Posted
A muse can scan your folders of edited videos, find the finished ones that never went live, and put them on a posting schedule so the work you already did stops sitting on a drive.
What it does
Anyone who makes videos has a folder problem. Clips get edited, exported, and then buried under the next project. Weeks later nobody remembers which ones were posted and which ones were not. A muse can do the dull comparison work. It looks through your edited video folders, checks the file names and dates against what actually went live on your channels, and builds a short list of finished videos with no matching post. Then it can schedule those videos for you, spaced out on the days and times you choose, with the titles and descriptions you approve first. A full scan and schedule can take just a few minutes.
How to use it
- Tell the muse where your finished exports live and which channels or accounts to check against.
- Ask: "Find every finished video in these folders that was never posted. Show me the list before you schedule anything."
- Read the list. Remove anything you held back on purpose, like a video that needs a fix or a sponsor check.
- Approve the titles, descriptions, and posting times for the rest.
- Let the muse place them on the schedule, then spot check the first one or two once they are queued.
What you need
- A muse account with access to the folders where your finished videos are stored
- Your posting accounts connected, or a list of what you have already published
- A few minutes to review the found list before anything is scheduled
What to watch for
File names lie. An export called final may be an old cut, and a video with a plain name may be the real finished version. Watch the opening seconds of anything you do not recognize before it goes on the schedule. The muse can only compare what it can see, so videos stored on a phone, a camera card, or a drive it cannot reach will not show up in the scan. Keep the final say on timing as well: the muse finds and queues the work, you decide what goes out and when.
