Find the Birthdays You Never Saved and Put Them on Your Calendar
A muse can search your Instagram stories and posts, Facebook, and messages for birthdays you never saved, then add the ones it finds to your calendar as yearly events that repeat.
What it does
Most birthdays are not missing. They are scattered. A friend mentioned a date in a message two years ago, another posted a birthday photo, and a third shows up in an old story. Nobody goes back through all of that by hand. A muse connected to those accounts can do the search in one pass. It can find birthdays that were never saved and add them to your calendar as recurring yearly events. You get the full list to review first, with the source for each date, so you can remove a wrong guess or a person you no longer keep up with before anything becomes a yearly reminder. After that, the calendar does the remembering and you get a reminder before each date, with time to send a card or plan something.
How to use it
- Connect the accounts where birthdays tend to show up, such as Instagram, Facebook, and your messages, plus the calendar you want the events added to.
- Say: "Search my posts, stories, and messages for friends' birthdays I have not saved. Show me the list before you add anything."
- Check the list. Keep the dates that look right, remove the ones that do not, and fix any date that is close but wrong.
- Say: "Add the ones I approved to my calendar as yearly events, with a reminder a few days before each one."
- Later, you can ask for the same search again after a busy month, so new birthdays you picked up get added too.
What you need
- A muse account with Instagram, Facebook, or messages connected
- A calendar connected, such as Google Calendar
- A few minutes to review the list before the events are added
What to watch for
- A date found in a post is not always a birthday. People post late, celebrate early, and joke about ages. Review each date instead of adding the whole list blind.
- It is normal if it feels strange to have a program read old messages for dates. You choose which accounts it can search, and you can disconnect any of them at any time.
- Start with close friends and family. A short, correct calendar beats a long one full of people you barely know.
- The muse prepares the list, you decide which birthdays actually go on your calendar.
