Find and Compare Your Business Files Through Box

確認済み 2026-10-31

You can connect Box to your muse so it can find a business document by what it is about, summarize what is inside it, and compare two versions side-by-side, without you digging through folders.

What it does

Box is where many small businesses keep contracts, invoices, and decks, and finding the right file often takes longer than reading it. Connected, your muse searches your Box by meaning, not just by file name. Ask for the contract from March, or the invoice with a certain total, and it names the file, the folder, and the date it last changed, so you know you have the right one. Ask for a summary and it pulls out the parts that matter: the dates, the numbers, the promises, and the fine print. The strongest use is comparing versions. When a client or supplier sends a revised file, the muse can list what changed between old and new versions: the clause that moved, the number that shifted, the paragraph that is gone.

How to use it

  1. Open your muse, go to Settings, then Connectors, and find Box.
  2. Sign in with the Box account where your real business files live.
  3. Read the permission screen before you accept it, and set approvals so sharing or moving a file always waits for your tap.
  4. Test with a file you know well: ask the muse to find it and summarize it, then read the summary against the original.
  5. Try a version check: "Compare these two versions of the agreement and list every change."
  6. Keep the first week to finding, reading, and comparing only.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A Box account with your business files in it
  • A few minutes to check the first summaries against the original files

What to watch for

  • The muse only sees the Box account you connect. Files in another account, another storage service, or on your own computer stay out of reach.
  • A summary is a map, not the document itself. For anything that touches money, a legal term, or a promise to a client, open the original and read that part yourself.
  • A summary can miss a clause or mix up two versions. Check any number, date, or clause it quotes before you act on it.
  • Sharing is the sharp edge. A file shared with the wrong person cannot be taken back from their memory, so never let a share go out without your approval.
  • Clear file names and one current version of each document make every answer better.
