Download a Copy of Everything Your Muse Has
Your muse holds more than your chats: files you made together, the memory it keeps about you, and the record of tasks it ran. You can download a copy of all of it to keep on your own computer, as a backup, a record, or a clean starting point before a reset.
What it does
Inside Muse settings there is a download built for this. Under Data controls, Download your agent data gives you your chats, your files, and other agent information in one package. There is also a wider export for your whole account: from Meta Accounts Center you can create an export and choose what it includes. Keeping your own copy matters because the app is not the only place this record should live. If you ever reset Muse, switch accounts, or just want proof of what it did on a job, the downloaded copy is the version you control. The muse does the work; the record should belong to you as well.
How to use it
- Open Settings in Muse, then go to Data controls.
- Choose Download your agent data, then confirm with the Download button.
- Save the file somewhere you control, not only on the phone the app lives on.
- Open the download once and check that the chats and files you expected are actually inside it. A backup you never opened is a hope, not a backup.
- For the wider account export, open Meta Accounts Center, choose Export your information, and create the export with the categories you want.
- Repeat the download after any big stretch of work you would hate to lose.
What you need
- A Muse account
- A few minutes in the settings screens
- Space on a computer or drive you control for the downloaded file
What to watch for
- A reset is permanent. Resetting Muse deletes chat history, files, and active tasks, and it cannot be undone, so download first if there is anything in there you value.
- The download is a snapshot, not a live backup. Anything done after the download is not in it, so refresh the copy after important work.
- Treat the file like the private record it is. It holds personal details from your chats and files, so store it somewhere private and do not share it casually.
- Deleting a single message does not always remove what Muse learned from it. If you are downloading before a cleanup, finish the cleanup in the memory file and settings as well.
