Connect Zapier So Your Muse Can Reach Thousands of Other Apps

Verified 2026-10-27

You can connect Zapier to your muse in one setup, and from then on your muse can search, read, create, and update records in the apps on your Zapier account, including many it does not support on its own.

What it does

Your muse comes with roughly forty connections of its own, covering tools like Google Workspace, Dropbox, and Notion. Plenty of everyday apps are not on that list. Zapier is a single connector that acts as a bridge to more than 9,000 apps and 40,000 actions. Once it is connected, your muse can work in apps like HubSpot, Airtable, Zendesk, and QuickBooks from the same chat window, using the connections you already have on Zapier. You choose which apps and actions are turned on. Zapier holds the sign-ins, so your muse never needs a password or API key from you, and it asks before taking an action flagged as needing a second look.

How to use it

  1. Open the muse app, go to Settings, then Connectors, and search for Zapier.
  2. Select Connect, read the permissions card, and select Continue.
  3. Sign in to Zapier yourself, or create a free account, and select Allow.
  4. In Zapier, check which apps and actions are turned on, and switch off anything you do not want it to touch.
  5. Start with a read: "Find my last five deals and sum them up." Check the answer in the app itself.
  6. Move to one small write, like adding a booking to a client list, and approve it first.

What you need

  • A muse account, with access in the US or Canada
  • A Zapier account on any plan, including free
  • At least one app already connected inside Zapier
  • Approvals left on for actions that need review, the default

What to watch for

  • Connecting is free, but each action your muse runs uses tasks from your Zapier plan, the same allowance your regular automations use. Heavy use can run a small plan down.
  • The connector is still rolling out, so it may not appear in every account yet. If Zapier is not in your list, your account does not have it yet.
  • Turned on is a wide door. If an action is enabled, your muse can run it when you ask. Keep the list short at first and widen it as trust builds.
  • It is normal if one connection reaching thousands of apps sounds like a lot. You can narrow the apps and actions, or disconnect Zapier at any time. The muse prepares, you decide.
