Check on Your Website Projects and Deployments Through Vercel

Verified 2026-10-31

Your muse can look over your website projects on Vercel, tell you whether the latest deployment worked, read the build and error logs when it did not, and make changes you approve.

What it does

Vercel is a service that hosts websites. Every time a site is updated, Vercel builds a new version, called a deployment, and puts it live. Once Vercel is connected, your muse can list your teams and projects, open one project, and show its deployments with their current state. When a deployment fails, it can read the build output to find where it stopped. When a live site misbehaves, it can read the running logs and error reports to help find the cause. It can also search Vercel's own documentation instead of guessing at a setting. With your approval on each change, it can start a deployment and adjust project settings, environment variables, domains and their records, firewall rules, and deployment protection, and each of those areas has its own permission.

How to use it

  1. Connect Vercel using the connect link your muse gives you, and sign in on Vercel's own page. Never share tokens or sign-in details in chat.
  2. Start with a read you can check: "List my projects and tell me the state of the latest deployment on each."
  3. If something looks wrong, ask for the build output or the recent errors on that one project before asking for any fix.
  4. Name the exact project and the exact change before approving anything that alters a setting, a domain, or a live site.
  5. After a deployment, ask your muse to check its status and the address it returns before you tell anyone the site is live.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A Vercel account with at least one project
  • Your connector settings set so changes ask for your approval

What to watch for

  • Reading ordinary project information follows your connector settings, but reading decrypted secrets or the files inside a deployment asks for approval first. Keep it that way.
  • Vercel also sells things inside the connector: domains, credits, add-ons, and plan upgrades can charge at once and are not refundable. Ask for the quote first, read it, and approve only the price you saw.
  • If a change seems to fail or times out, check the project or deployment before trying again. The first attempt may have gone through, and a blind retry can do the work twice.
  • Disconnecting deletes the stored connection at once. Reconnecting means doing the connect steps again.
