Check Every Five Minutes for a Sold-Out Item at Stores Near You

When a popular item is sold out everywhere, a muse can check pickup stock at several stores near you every five minutes, stay silent while there is nothing, and message you the moment one store shows it available, so you can book it yourself.

What it does

Some restocks do not last an afternoon. They last minutes. A phone or a limited release can appear at one store and be gone before a slower check would notice. A muse can watch the exact version you want, meaning the model, color, and storage size, across a short list of stores you name, and check far more often than any person would. It says nothing while stores are out of stock. When one flips to available, it checks again to confirm, then alerts you with the store, the price, and the pickup link. The muse watches and alerts. You do the booking.

How to use it

1. Name the item exactly: model, color, size or storage, and the most you will pay.
2. Name the stores: "Check these five locations near me, and no others."
3. Set the rhythm and the silence rule: "Check every five minutes. Stay silent while it is unavailable."
4. Set the alert rule: "When one store shows it, verify it live first, then message me the store, price, and pickup link right away."
5. Set the buying rule in plain words: "Do not buy it. I will book it myself."
6. Keep your phone nearby and act fast when the alert lands.

What you need

• A muse account with scheduled checks and a messaging app for alerts
• The exact product details and a firm price limit
• A short list of stores you can actually reach for pickup
• Notifications turned on, so the alert does not sit unread

What to watch for

• Frequent checking uses more of your plan allowance than a daily check. Set an end date, such as the end of the week, so it stops once you have bought the item.
• A stock page can flip back before you finish booking. The alert is a head start, not a hold on the item.
• Exact details matter. One wrong word in the color or storage size and the muse will watch for an item you do not want.
• Some stores limit how often their pages can be checked. If a store blocks the checks, drop it from the list.
