Change and Publish Your Lovable Projects Through Your Muse
If you already built an app or site in Lovable, your muse can open that project, read what is in it, ask Lovable for a change in plain words, and publish the result once you approve it.
What it does
Lovable is a tool that builds apps and websites from plain descriptions. Once it is connected, your muse can find your workspaces and projects, read a project's files and code, and show you its recent edits and messages. To make a change, your muse sends Lovable a message describing it, then reads back the result. With your approval, it can also start a new project or copy an existing one, publish a project, change who can see a project or folder, and check usage numbers. Projects that store information have a database: your muse can check whether one is on, turn one on with approval, and ask it questions. The muse prepares and Lovable builds; you decide what ships.
How to use it
- Connect Lovable using the connect link your muse gives you, and sign in on Lovable's own page. Never share sign-in details in chat. The first connection can only read.
- Ask for a tour of what you already have: "List my projects and tell me what each one does."
- Pick one project and describe one change in plain words, such as a new field on a form or a fixed button.
- If your muse asks for added Lovable access before it can write, approve that grant, then approve the change itself. The grant and the change are two separate yeses.
- Ask to see the result and the edits before approving publishing, and check the live project yourself once it is out.
What you need
- A muse account
- A Lovable account, ideally with a project already started
- Added Lovable access granted before your muse can create, edit, or publish
What to watch for
- While your grant is read only, your muse can look but cannot change anything. That is the safe way to start.
- File uploads are not available through this connection, and connecting a custom domain still happens on Lovable's own website.
- A change you describe loosely can come back different from what you pictured. Make one change at a time and read the result before asking for the next.
- If an edit or a publish seems to fail or times out, check the project's state before trying again. The first attempt may have finished, and repeating it can stack two changes.
