Catch Up on Threads and Tune What You See

Verified 2026-10-31

Connect Threads to your muse and catch up in one ask: your feed, your mentions and replies, what is trending, and say in plain words what you want more or less of.

What it does

Opening Threads usually means scrolling and hoping the important parts surface. Connected, the muse reads the account for you. Ask for your Following feed, newest first, or the For You feed, and it brings posts with links. Ask what needs your attention and it reads your activity by kind: mentions, replies, new followers, follow requests, quote posts, and reposts, so a reply you owe is not buried under likes. Ask what people are talking about and it lists trending topics and searches a word or phrase, with top results or newest ones. It can also pull up posts you saved or liked, narrowed to a date range, which helps when you cannot find one. When the feed keeps showing a topic you are tired of, tell the muse in plain words, such as "show me less politics," and it passes that preference to the Threads ranking.

How to use it

  1. Link Threads through Meta Accounts Center in the muse app. This is separate from Threads Messages.
  2. Start with one read: "Show me my Following feed, newest first."
  3. Ask for the activity that matters: "Show me mentions and replies from the last few days."
  4. Search or check trends for a topic, and open the original post before you react to it.
  5. Say what you want more or less of in plain words, and let the muse pass it on.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A Threads account linked through Meta Accounts Center
  • A few minutes to read what comes back

What to watch for

  • Threads limits how often an account can be read this way, and heavy repeated checking can get it limited. Ask for what you need in one pass instead of polling.
  • A read can come back partial. If a result looks thin, ask again later rather than treating the short list as everything.
  • Some content is filtered out by Threads protections, and the muse cannot rebuild what is left out.
  • Tuning the feed is a preference, not a switch. Expect the mix to shift over days, not in one refresh.
  • It is normal if an agent reading your feed sounds strange. You choose the link, you can remove it in Meta Accounts Center at any time, and every reply stays yours to write. The muse prepares, you decide.
