Buy Through Shop Pay without Opening the Store Page

On Shopify stores, a muse can find a product, show you the exact item, seller, and total, and complete the purchase through Shop Pay after you approve it, without you opening the store page. You approve the exact item and total first, and nothing is ordered until you do.

What it does

You describe what you want, with size, color, or model spelled out. The muse searches Shopify stores and brings back its pick with the exact merchant, the exact total including tax and shipping, and the card it plans to use, by masked label. Nothing is charged until you approve. Shop Pay then pays with the card and address it holds, using a one-time token. The muse never sees your full card number. If you decline, nothing is charged.

How to use it

1. Connect Shop Pay as a wallet once, and pick the card to use, by its masked label.
2. Ask for one item at a time, and name the variant in full: "Find running shoes, this model, this color, size 10, from a Shopify store, total under this amount including tax and shipping. Show me the product, merchant, and total before you do anything else. Do not pay until I say approved."
3. Read the approval sheet line by line: product title, variant, merchant, total, and card. It only works if you actually read it.
4. Say approved only when every line matches. Otherwise say no and name what is wrong.
5. Keep the confirmation until the order arrives, and check the item against it.
6. Start with one purchase under $30 while you learn the sheet.

• Shop Pay connected as a wallet, with a card and address saved
• A product sold by a Shopify store

What to watch for

• Variant mix-ups are the known failure. A cable can arrive in the wrong connector type when a listing holds two variants and the wrong one gets picked. Naming the variant, and reading the full title on the approval sheet, is the fix.
• Not every store allows agent purchases. Some large retailers block the muse. If an item you know exists cannot be found, the store may have blocked agent traffic, and the muse can hand you the link instead.
• Shop Pay is one route, not the only one. Other checkouts use a wallet that creates a one-time card. Ask which route it plans to use before you approve.
• The muse prepares, you decide. No approval means no order, every time.
