Build a Taste Profile the Muse Can Work From

A muse can study the posts you have made and the posts you have saved, boil what it finds into a one-page taste profile, and then judge new creative work against that profile instead of guessing at your style each time.

What it does

Creative help often falls flat for a simple reason: the helper does not know your taste. You end up correcting colors, moods, and choices one draft at a time. A taste profile fixes that at the start. The muse reads a batch of your own posts and saved items, pulls out the patterns, the colors you return to, the shapes and moods you favor, and the things you avoid, and writes it up as a short profile. From then on, new work can be planned against the profile. Two projects can be planned at once against it, with concepts, venue ideas, and shot lists that match your brand from the start.

How to use it

1. Point the muse at your own material: your recent posts and a set of saved posts or reels that feel like you.
2. Ask for a one-page profile covering colors, shapes, moods, and a clear list of what you avoid.
3. Read the profile and fix anything that is off. This page is only useful if you would sign your name to it.
4. Use it as the brief for the next job: concepts, layouts, outfits, or shoots, all checked against the profile.
5. Keep the profile where the muse can reuse it, and update it when your taste shifts.

• Access to your own posts and saved items in the app you use
• Enough past material for patterns to show, a few dozen pieces is plenty
• Ten minutes to review the profile

What to watch for

• A profile built from thin material will be thin. If you have only posted a handful of times, treat the result as a first sketch, not a rulebook.
• Saved posts show what caught your eye, not always what you want to make. Tell the muse which matters more if the two pull in different directions.
• The profile describes taste, it does not copy other creators. Ask for work in your patterns, not copies of the saved pieces themselves.
• It is normal if having your style summed up on one page feels a little strange. The page is yours to review, edit, or delete, and the muse works from the version you approve.
