Ask About Your Weight, Sleep, and Steps Through Withings

確認済み 2026-10-31

You can connect Withings to your muse and ask about your steps, sleep, workouts, weight, blood pressure, and heart readings in plain words, instead of reading charts in the app.

What it does

Withings devices, such as a scale, a watch, or a sleep tracker, record your days quietly in the background. Connected, your muse reads that record back as answers. Ask how you slept last week and it gives the nights and the hours. Ask whether your steps are up or down and it compares weekly totals, the honest way to read a trend. Body measurements, such as weight, blood pressure, oxygen, and temperature, sit behind a separate permission from activity, sleep, and workouts. That split is deliberate. You can share steps and sleep while weight and blood pressure stay behind a second door that opens only when you say so.

How to use it

  1. Run the Withings status check. If not connected, the muse gives you a connect link. Sign in once and come back.
  2. Start with the last seven days: "How did I sleep this week, and how many steps did I average?"
  3. For a trend, ask for weekly figures across a longer stretch, not every reading. Weekly numbers are steadier and easier to act on.
  4. Ask for one thing at a time when a number matters: "What was my last blood pressure reading, and when was it taken?"
  5. If a body measurement does not come back, the muse says your permission setting holds it back, rather than pretending you have no readings. Approve that one read, or leave the door shut.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A Withings account with at least one device recording data
  • A minute to set the two permissions the way you want them: activity, sleep, and workouts on one; body measurements and heart data on the other

What to watch for

  • The muse cannot add a reading, fix a wrong one, or change a device setting. Wrong data has to be corrected in Withings itself.
  • An empty result means no records for those dates, and the muse will not fill in numbers you do not have.
  • A daily weight is that day's last weigh-in, and a daily heart rate is an average. Know which you are looking at before comparing days.
  • Health numbers are personal. It is normal if sharing them with an agent sounds strange. The two-permission split exists so you can start with steps and sleep only, and decide about the rest later, or never.
