Ask About Your Tesla Battery, Charging, and Trips in Plain Words

確認済み 2026-10-26

Connect a Tesla companion account to your muse and ask about battery, range, charging, and trips in plain words, and send car commands only when you approve them.

What it does

The companion service tracks your car over time: trips, battery health, charging, and charge lost while parked. Connected to your muse, that record becomes a conversation. Ask for the evening battery level and range, and it tells you whether that covers tomorrow. Ask whether last night's charge finished inside a cheap overnight window. Ask how much charge the car lost while parked this week; a sudden jump points at the cause: an update, a sentry setting left on, or hard cold. Over weeks, ask which routes use the most range and how the battery is aging. You can also ask for exact commands, such as lock the doors, flash the lights, honk, or warm the cabin before you leave.

How to use it

  1. Open your muse settings and find the Tesla companion connector in the list.
  2. Create an access token inside the companion service settings. Enter it only through the connect link your muse gives you. Never paste it into a chat.
  3. Set approvals to ask you first for any command that acts on the car.
  4. Test with a read-only question: ask for the battery level and range, and check the answer against the companion app.
  5. If you have more than one car, tell the muse which one is your daily car.
  6. Build a small evening habit: battery for tomorrow, charging finished, anything odd.

What you need

  • A muse account
  • A Tesla on a companion service account (paid, with a free trial, separate from your muse)
  • An access token created in the companion service settings
  • Approvals set to ask you for car commands

What to watch for

  • Guard the token like a key. If it ever leaks, create a fresh one in the companion settings and the old one stops working.
  • A question never becomes a command. Asking about the battery gets you only a number. Say the exact action you want, and keep commands on approval. A honk at midnight is a mistake your neighbors will notice.
  • The car knows where it is and where it has been. If other people share your muse account, agree which car questions are fine.
  • A car that is asleep, out of signal, or mid-update may not answer. Check range figures against the app for the first week. The muse reads and asks, you decide.
